I’m at a large tropical vacation house with a group of friends. I walk past a wall of french doors that opens directly onto the ocean. The water is turquoise and very clear, but endlessly deep. I see a pod of humpback whales in the water surfacing close to the house. As I watch, they swim up to the doors and gently nudge them, like they want to come in. I open the doors and sit on the edge, and one by one the whales swim up and rest the very tips of their faces gently in my lap so that I can pet them. Everyone else in the house has gathered around and is silently watching.
After the last whale swims off, I walk through the house and out the front door. The house is in a rain forest, but there’s a clearing with a stream running through it in the front yard. I wade into the stream and start walking through the water, following the stream. It takes me through the forest as I trail my fingertips in the water. It’s verdant and hot and there are jungle flowers everywhere in bright colors. I can smell them. There are fairly lights all around me, winking on and off and floating randomly like will-o-whisps.
What was my mind trying to tell me?
